Wendy Rivers, CEMT, is a graduate of Roger
Williams University, in Rhode Island, with a degree in
Administration of Justice. A horse lover and rider
since childhood, Wendy began her search for natural,
therapeutic options early in horse ownership
ultimately leading to a career in equine massage.
Wendy is the owner of Connecticut Equine Massage
which was started by her and Halide Caine in 2003.
Wendy is a Certifed Equine Massage Therapist
(CEMT), having graduated from the EQUISSAGE
teaching facility in Round Hill, VA, Wendy enjoys
Dressage and continues her training on her APHA Four
Winds Ban-Jo.

Caitlin McKeon Nicholls, CESMT,
has been involved with horses since
she was very young, eventing locally as
a child and then continued to show
through college at Post University with
both the IHSA and IDA. Caitlin is a
graduate of Post University with a
degree in Equine Management and
made the decision to further her
education by becoming a Certified
Equine Massage Therapist. She
received her certification from
EQUISSAGE-New England/New York
here in Connecticut. In her spare time
Caitlin spends it training, riding, and
enjoying her horses Bearcat and
Benjamin.

Josephine Barker, CESMT, has
been involved with horses her entire
life, breeding, training and showing
both as an amateur and professionally.
She has owned and handled
multi-disciplined Morgan Horses in hunt
and saddleseat, as well as park,
pleasure, and carriage driving. She
received her equine massage training
from Equissage, in Round Hill, Virginia,
is a Certified Equine Sports Massage
Therapist, and a Life Member of the
International Association of Animal
Massage Therapists. Josephine is a
board member of The Connecticut
Horse Council, working on educational
issues, a certified Technical Large
Animal Emergency Responder, and a
member of CTSART Region 5 (Litchfield
County). She also serves as Secretary
of the Litchfield Hills Driving Club.
Josephine lives in the Northwest Corner
of Connecticut, with her two Morgan
carriage horses, Maple Corner Coriana
and Benncouer Rising Son.
